Dr Mary Louise Hemmeter

As co-creator of the Pyramid Model, Dr Hemmeter has been incredibly generous in the sharing of her research, knowledge and material in the Australian roll out of the framework.

Through Pyramid Model Consortium, Dr Mary Louise Hemmeter and Dr Rob Corso have set up Implementation Sites in Western Australia, Victoria and rural NSW. With an emphasis on internal Leadership Teams, Mary Louise has supported Pyramid Model Australia and local service providers to provide coaching, training and resources that are evidence-based, current and contextualised.

Dr Hemmeter illustrated how the Pyramid Model aligns with the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF), and how Pyramid Model practices support the Early Years Learning and Development Outcomes. The Pyramid Model was originally known as the Teaching Pyramid.
